Uintah High Choir Family,
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Spring Break. I know for me even though I was mostly stuck at home it was nice to have a bit of a different routine. To be honest I’m loving the time with my family. Whether they’re loving the time with me is up for debate. I do want to say thank you to the many of you who have really dug in and tried to figure out all this technology stuff. I know how daunting it can be and I really appreciate those who have taken the time to submit their assignments, especially the audio submissions. Keep up the great work.
Week 4 Assignments in Canvas
There are 2 things to complete in Canvas this week. 1 – A Daily Listening Assignment with quiz and 2- the Virtual Choir Phase 2 Assignment.
Choir Awards Ballot – IMPORTANT!
We still have many students who have not filled out the Choir Awards Ballot. The Ballot is on the weeks Canvas module. Please fill it out if you have not done so already.
Choir Spirit Week
After visiting with choir leadership before Spring Break they decided to a CHOIR SPIRT WEEK this week. Sorry I’m a day behind. The plan is to have each student take a photo and post it on the choir Instagram, Twitter or Facebook page following the following daily criteria:
Monday – Choir Shirt Day (Take a photo of you wearing your choir shirt)
Tuesday – Quarantine Group Day (Take a photo of you and the people with whom you are quarantined.)
Wednesday– Hobbies Day (Take a photo of you doing one of your favorite hobbies)
Thursday – Outdoor Day (Take a photo of yourself outside – don’t forget social distancing)
Friday – Pajama Day (Take a photo of yourself in your pajamas)
If you don’t have a social media account you can also text or email your class presidency. Leadership will be keeping track of participation and whichever class has the most participation (based on class percentage) wins. We’re not sure what yet, but you’ll at least have bragging rights. HAVE FUN. J

Please read all the instructions for assignments, etc. Most of the questions I’m asked are answered in the instructions.
Grade Updates (Reminder)
I plan to check on assignments and update grades on Tuesdays. If you’ve turned something in late, please plan on your grade not being updated until the following Tuesday.
Choir Video Conference
I am planning to have a video conference using Zoom on Thursday, April 16, 2020. This will be the schedule:
Polyphony Only – 11:00-11:15am
All Choir Students visiting time – 11:15-11:45am
Luminosa – 11:45am-12:00pm
Virsonum – 12:00-12:15pm
All Uintah High Choir students are invited to attend this conference if they have any questions that they would like to ask live or if they would like to talk with Mr. Merryweather or any of their choir family. It is not required to attend the conference. It’s mainly so we can all see each other. The link to the conference will be on the choir website under the Online Choir tab.
