​Three of Uintah’s advanced choirs performed at the Region Large Group Choir Festival on Tuesday, April 18th.  The choirs are scored by three adjudicators who each give them a score.  If a choir receives a superior (I) from each judge then they qualify to perform at the State Large Group Choir Festival.  The Uintah Men’s Choir, Virsonum received II+  II+  II.  The Uintah Women’s Choir, Luminosa received I  I-  II+  and the Uintah Mixed Choir, Polyphony received I-  I-  I-.  Unfortunately the choirs didn’t qualify for the state festival this year, but all performed incredibly well and have shown immense growth this year.  
On a personal note, I just want to compliment my choir students on the hard work they have put in this year in preparation for the region festival.  The music we do is not easy and I ask a lot from them.  I am so proud of them.  - Mr. Merryweather
